TPS and Unigloves – a perfect fit for a supplier partnership

As a Tier 1 supplier to TPS, Unigloves produces the Quantum range of gloves, which are available to garages and workshops. The Quantum gloves sit within the wider Pro.Tect range of gloves, comprising of 12 different types of gloves suitable for multiple applications, including the automotive sector.

Quantum gloves are specifically produced with mechanics and auto technicians in mind and have various unique features that make them suitable for use in the workshop.

One of the Quantum gloves standout features is its unique diamond grip, which gives extra hold and control, even when working in oily or wet conditions.

They are also chemical resistant and heavy duty to avoid any tearing or splits when wearing the gloves. As well as being durable and robust, they are, just as importantly, lightweight and comfortable to wear – making it less likely the wearer will take the gloves off and expose themselves to risk in the working environment.

Unigloves has been manufacturing gloves since 1989 and across its four group-owned factories in Seremban, Malaysia, they can produce up to 150 gloves a second. It’s an extraordinary amount of gloves and demonstrates why Unigloves can proudly claim they are “trusted by 4 billion hands around the world”.

They have 25 manufacturing lines which produce a huge range of hand protection solutions, including single use gloves, gloves for mechanical and electrical protection and skincare products.

They also produce their own sustainable range including biodegradable gloves and gloves manufactured from recycled plastic – all of which fits well with their wider ethical business approach and commitment to sustainability.

Emma Lovelock, Unigloves Marketing Manager said: “Our customers trust Unigloves as a brand and Quantum as a product.

“The trust comes from the quality, benefits and features that are unique to our products and ultimately the assurance customers get from knowing they can safely wear our gloves.

“Our product team are constantly reviewing our range and looking at ways to bring new products onto the market.

“We are always looking at our end user’s needs and customer needs, so expect some exciting new additions to our range in the future.”

Among the array of gloves available, the Nitrex sustainable range includes biodegradable gloves and gloves that are manufactured from recycled plastic. They are certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, which means they are not only kinder to the planet but contain no harmful substances that could impact workers’ health - part of Unigloves wider commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices.
