When it looks likely that costly repairs will result in a vehicle being written off, Volkswagen Group offers an alternative solution: the Total Loss Avoidance (TLA) Programme brought to you by TPS.

Vehicles that might have otherwise been written off are kept on the road because Volkswagen Group TLA offers additional discounts on parts to get the repair costs either below, or closer to, the write-off threshold.

This means bodyshops keep repairs in their workshops. And because Volkswagen Group Approved Genuine Parts are designed to fit first time, every time, they can be confident that the repair will be off the ramp and back on the road as quickly as possible – reducing key to key times and making space for the next repair.

We only provide Volkswagen Group Approved Genuine Parts that are specifically made for Audi, Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, SEAT, CUPRA, and Škoda.

By using these parts, bodyshops can guarantee a reliable repair and will get customers back behind the wheel of the car they love. These parts, which are the same as used in new vehicle production, come with a comprehensive warranty, giving everyone involved peace of mind.

How the programme works

Our customers tell us it’s one of the easiest programmes out there:

1. Once signed up we’re automatically notified of damage assessments for Volkswagen Group cars through your bodyshop estimating systems.

2. Our team get straight to work, looking at additional discounts that can be offered to get the vehicle either below, or closer to, the write-off threshold.

3. For qualifying estimates, we’ll then get in touch with the total of the new lower quote.

4. When we receive acceptance of the quote we’ll order all the parts from the local TPS Centre and they’ll be delivered when bodyshops need them.

5. We invoice including all discounts, meaning no extra admin of claiming back discount or rebate.
